Supporting Mothers, Supporting Families: MamaPower's Vision At MamaPower, we believe in the power of mothers and their ability to create positive change in their lives and the lives of their families. Our vision is to empower and support mothers, providing them with a community, services, and products to help them navigate the challenges of motherhood. We also aim to provide non-traditional education and entrepreneurial skills to teenage mothers in Kenya, offering vocational training in areas such as hairdressing, weaving, knitting, and tailoring. Why is supporting mothers so important? Mothers are the backbone of families, and when they are empowered, the entire family benefits. By providing mothers with the tools and resources they need to succeed, we are not only helping them break the cycle of poverty but also creating a ripple effect of positive change in their communities. One of the ways we support mothers is through vocational training. By offering training in income-generating activities such as hairdressing, weaving, knitting, and tailoring, we are equipping them with practical skills that can help them become self-sufficient. These skills are aligned with market demands, ensuring that the women have the opportunity to earn a sustainable income. But it's not just about the skills.
