Our initiative in Kenya focuses on providing vocational training in income-generating activities such as hairdressing, weaving, knitting, and tailoring. By equipping these women with practical skills aligned with market demands, we aim to foster independence, resilience, and long-term stability. Our training centers, located in the slums of Kenya, specifically at Wings of Compassion Rescue Home in Marurui and Refuge Oaks in Meru, are designed to be welcoming and inclusive. In these centers, we assemble a group of dedicated volunteers who impart essential vocational training to the young mothers. These volunteers not only teach the technical skills required for each trade but also serve as mentors and role models. They provide guidance, support, and encouragement, helping the women build their confidence and belief in their abilities.
